Kuala Penyu wedding~

KualaPenyu wedding (non muslim) is quite similar with other wedding in Sabah The bride and bridegroom will meet at the church in the morning, be blessed by the Father, and signing the wedding certificate (i guess la wedding certificate). After the ceremony, both will be drive home with the decorated wedding car to the bride's home where there will be 'eating ceremony' and 'potong kek'(aha). Things which compulsory for a weddingday are the karaoke and alcohol drinks. The unique thing about KualaPenyu wedding is that there will be 'berbesan' ceremony. This ceremony is the ice-breaking for both family. The bride's family will be introduce to the bridegroom's family one by one. For example, the mum will be introduce to her 'besan'(both laki n pompuan, and the uncle n anty yang berkaitan). For the bride, he will be introduce to her in-law (yang jauh yang dekat pun bole). Upon the ice-breaking, they must exchange drink (a glass of montoku or tea).
